The Beginning of Fall

It really started on the first week of school which was back near the end of August. But as always, I'm behind in posting... :( My Dad owns some land which he is trying to build a new office building on, but has been thwarted for a while. So this year he decided to plant corn in order to get a little bit of a tax break. Then the frosts came early and it was a short growing season anyway. But we still got to reap some rewards and it was a fun FHE activity. We put a little away for the winter too.
The full bag at the end.

I guess Patrick's corn was stubborn and wouldn't come off the stalk.

Andrew thought it was all quite fascinating. 'Course everything at that age goes straight to the mouth.

I've always wanted to pick corn...it's so tempting when it's just there in large fields along the side of the road - your baby is adorable eating the stalks!

Patrick looks like he is playing hide and go seek. HHAHA!
