It touched us. So we decided to look up the surgeon who performed all three of her surgeries, Dr. Peter Kouretas. Oddly enough we found out that he is currently practicing in Cleveland, OH!!! We were so pleasantly surprised to find that he was only 4 hours from us. (Don't worry, we didn't pack the kids in the car right then and go for a visit.) For our FHE the next night, we all wrote letters of gratitude to someone. We asked Bekah if she would be willing to write to this surgeon and she was glad to. She wasn't sure what to write so we had to help her a little there, but it was a sweet letter. I also wrote to him as the family representative and expressed my gratitude for his knowledge, his caring manner, and how his actions have blessed our family. We took pictures of the family and of Rebekah so he could see how she'd grown and how well she is doing.
We didn't get a family picture the next Sunday when we blessed Lissa, so this will have to do.
Doesn't this girl look fabulous?! She's beautiful!
It was an evening or two in which we were humbled by the mercy of the Lord. Not only did rediscover a man who has helped to change our lives but we found him to be close too.

Beautiful Family! :)
You know, I am so sad that Nathan's first heart surgeon passed away several years ago. Nathan is finally starting to make some significant progress and I wish that we could have expressed it to him like you. She looks WONDERFUL!
Somehow I missed this post... but I LOVE IT!
