There as an old woman who lived in a shoe . . .

We recently had Michael's mother, sister, and her four children visit. It was fantastic. We discovered that we, and the house, can handle 6 additional people! We had 6 children running around under the age of 8. It was fabulous! The best benefits of their visit however, were as follows:
1) We had an excuse to go to the zoo,

a discovery museum,

and The Mayan restaurant.

2) Rebekah had a blast and ate better because she had company showing her how to do it. 3) She also gained confidence in her dealings with other kids and will now tell them "No", "Don't" and accompany it with a little hit to the offender. Now this may be horrible to some parents, but for Rebekah, it's a huge step in a good direction. She needed to learn to stick up for herself and do a little defending. All in all, it was a delightful visit from family. We were sad to see them go.
While they were here, Michael took advantage of the live-in babysitters and took me on a date. He didn't tell me where we were going and took many detours to make sure I was confused. All he said was, "dress formally". Hmmmm. There aren't many things that you go to nowadays that you dress formally for and they take place in the middle of the week. I found that we were headed for a Michael Buble concert! It was great fun and we built a lot of memories. Thanks for watching the kids Mimi and Alisha!
The last day everyone was here we went to Temple Square to get a very quick tour. Alisha's minivan wouldn't fit in the parking garage therefore we had to use the metered parking (muy expensive). It was probably good that our visit was cut a little short 'cause my kids were exhausted by the end and slept most of the way home. It was one hot afternoon!

I can't believe that you went to Michael Bubble... you have all the luck... (and yes, I spelt his last name wrong.)
